TÂN Neo Soul Sessions is a live music experience centred around creativity, soulful expression and community. Primarily hosted at our HQ in Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff, the sessions bring together artists, musicians and audiences who share a deep love for live music, collaboration and authentic musical moments. Through intimate performances and shared experiences, Neo Soul Sessions continues to create a welcoming space where voices are celebrated and creative connections can grow.
What’s been happening at Neo soul
Over the last three Neo Soul Sessions, TÂN has created a powerful space for live music, community and discovery in Cardiff. Across these sessions, we have spotlighted over 30 artists, worked with five live bands, and brought together musicians using voices, keys, drums, bass, guitar, brass and more to create unforgettable live moments.
Each session has helped celebrate the depth of Black music, soul and creativity in Wales, while bringing audiences together around real performance, shared energy and community. From emerging voices to experienced musicians, Neo Soul Sessions continues to grow as a space where artists can be seen, heard and celebrated.
What’s next for Neo soul session
Next up, Neo Soul Sessions heads to the TÂN World Music Stage at Brecon Jazz Festival on 8 August 2026. Taking place at Bethel Square, the session will bring the spirit of Neo Soul to one of Wales’ most loved music festivals.
With over 10 to 15 artists expected to perform, audiences can look forward to live voices, acoustic sounds, guitar-led moments and the same creative energy that has shaped our sessions in Cardiff. For TÂN, every stage is an opportunity to create space for music, culture and community, and Brecon Jazz will be another chance to celebrate the artists and sounds growing through Neo Soul Sessions.
More details will be announced soon. Stay connected and follow TÂN for updates.
