What we do

Tân exists because Black music and Black-led creative practice in Wales are consistently under-supported, despite their cultural impact and contribution.

We create opportunities shaped by our communities — from free music programmes and artist development to paid opportunities for artists.

Our work focuses on:

  • creating real, paid opportunities for Black artists and musicians
  • building platforms for Black music in Wales
  • developing pathways for emerging and established talent
  • connecting artists, audiences, and communities

We bring people together through music, building a platform that not only showcases work but advocates for equity across the arts sector, strengthening visibility, consistency and trust so Black music and culture can thrive.
